Skin that feels like yours again

Calm, results-led facials in a quiet New Town studio — expert hands, honest advice, and not a ten-step upsell in sight. Just skin, properly looked after.

A quiet word

You'd know it if you saw it

Nothing here needs fixing. But if any of this sounds familiar, it's worth an unhurried hour in the chair.

  • Skin that photographs tired

The sleep was fine, the concealer is new, and the camera still insists otherwise. Dullness isn't a flaw — it's a signal, and it responds beautifully to being taken seriously.

  • The shelf of half-used actives

A retinol from January, two acids that arrived by algorithm, a vitamin C quietly going off in its bottle. Each one plausible on its own; together, an argument your skin keeps losing.

  • The wedding, six months out

Enough time to make a real difference — too little to spend on guesswork. What that date needs is a plan, begun calmly, now.

  • Skin that changed the rules

A new decade, new hormones, a new city's water — whatever it was, the skin you knew has new opinions, and the old routine no longer gets a vote.

Treatments

A short, considered menu

I'd rather do a few things beautifully than everything adequately. Each treatment begins with a proper look at your skin and ends with a plan you can actually keep up at home.

About the skin reset

What to expect

  1. A skin consultation

We start with a real conversation about your skin, your history and what's realistic — no scare tactics, no miracle claims.

  2. Your treatment

Unhurried, hands-on, and tailored on the day to what your skin needs rather than a fixed script.

  3. A simple routine

You leave with a short, honest home routine — three or four steps that work, not a shelf of bottles.

About me

I'm Sofia

I trained in Milan, spent a decade in busy city salons, and slowly grew tired of the part of the industry that sells fear — the up-sells, the "problem areas", the endless bottles nobody needs. Skin isn't a problem to be fixed. It's an organ having a perfectly reasonable response to your life.

So I opened a small, calm studio and built it around the opposite idea. I'm a CIDESCO-qualified skin specialist with twelve years' experience, and I treat every kind of skin — teenage, menopausal, sensitive, sun-worn, and the merely exhausted.

How I work

Honestly, gently, and with a lot less product than you'd expect. Good skin is mostly consistency, sun protection and a few things done well — my job is to treat your skin expertly in the room and then hand you a routine simple enough to actually follow. No packages you don't need, no miracle claims, and I'll always tell you when something is a job for a dermatologist rather than a facialist.

The studio is one quiet room off Dundas Street — soft light, good coffee, and time that never feels rushed.

The Skin Reset

Five treatments over ten weeks — the difference between a lovely afternoon and skin that has genuinely changed course.

£340 · Five treatments · ten weeks · In person

Course places are deliberately few, so every plan gets my full attention — returning clients are offered new dates before the list opens.

Kind words

From the treatment room

“Sofia is the first facialist who didn't try to sell me half a shelf. My skin has never looked better, and my routine has never been simpler. Both things are her doing.”
Isla F.
“After menopause my skin felt like a stranger's. Five treatments and some honest advice later, it feels like mine again — calm, comfortable, and actually glowing.”
Marion D.
“The most relaxing hour in my calendar, and the only skincare that's ever made a visible difference. I've stopped panic-buying serums entirely.”
Yasmin R.

Fair questions

Will you try to sell me loads of products?
No — and it's a fair worry given the industry. I recommend the fewest things that'll actually help, I don't work on commission, and I'm just as happy pointing you to an affordable high-street product as anything else. Good skin isn't about spending more.
I have sensitive/reactive skin — is that ok?
More than ok; it's much of what I do. Every treatment is tailored on the day and patch-tested where needed. We go at the pace your skin can handle — gentler and slower beats aggressive and red every time.
How soon will I see a difference?
You'll usually leave with an immediate glow, but real change in things like texture or pigmentation comes from consistency — which is why the Skin Reset course exists. I'll always be honest about what one treatment can and can't do.
Do you offer injectables or medical procedures?
No — I'm a skin specialist, not a medical aesthetician, and I think it's important to be clear about that line. For anything medical — Botox, fillers, prescription actives, or a mole that's changed — I'll refer you to a trusted practitioner or your GP.
Can you help with acne or rosacea?
I can support both with gentle, appropriate treatment and routine advice, and many clients see real comfort and improvement. But persistent acne or rosacea is also a medical matter — I'll happily work alongside your GP or dermatologist rather than pretend a facial replaces them.
What if I don't know what my skin needs?
That's exactly what the consultation is for — most people arrive unsure. You don't need to diagnose anything; just turn up and we'll work it out together.
